(Reserve for pictures of cats)
I really should update this blog when I get home in the evening. But yeah, it's seems like everyone is getting cats now. My friend Liz got a could kittens, I enjoyed hearing about their adventures through her apartment. LOL! My sister keeps getting adopted by strays. She says when we move in december she is going to bring out the black male (Coal is his name) to hunt vermin for us. She is worried about him being in such an urban area and I agree. Brett doesn't like the idea of outdoor cats. I don't either, but if they already are use to it, there isn't much you can do. My friend Lisa is getting a cat saturday. I'm happy for her. Then of course there are the strays that have adopted our area of the apartment complex. I should back up a little here. We use to live above the Marion County Animal Cruelty Prosecutor and she use to feed stray cats. She also tried to trap them and have them fixed then released them. I thought I would help one time and catch a absolutely cute kitten that was running around there. Brett, never believing I could, let me try *cackles* he didn't know my animal knowledge that well. I caught it, right as the lady came home. So without gloves I grabbed a wild kitten. Yeah, kitten or no, it was still wild. So after it "epic nomed"(see
I has cheeseburger) my hands I had is subdued against my chest where it proceeded to nom my braided hair. I though, "Aww how cute." The lady asked me if I was alright, and I said I was fine. She said that she thought I was brave. Anyone who has known me for a long time, knows that I don't mind getting bit by animals. That I am use to it. My hands are scarred up with long since healed bites. I'm like the crock hunter, scar on scar. So Brett who was in disbelief and freaking out at this point. Asked what I was going to do. I told him to get the cat carrier and that we were going to take it to my parent's house so they could take it to a shelter. When I got there, bloody hands and all. My mom just shook her head. Put the kitten in a bigger carrier with food and water and cleaned up my wounds. By then they started to hurt. My parents and Brett made me go to the emergency care center to get everything looked at. They looked at my already cleaned up hands and just re bandaged them. I had to get a Tetenus booster, and I was able to avoid the antibiotic shot in the rear. I was sent home with antibiotics and anti inflammatories. My hands ached that night, and Crookshanks kept nosing them. I think he could smell that they were cat bites. Brett told my parents that if he knew I would be able to catch the kitten, that he would have made me put on gloves. Mom smiled and said that I knew what I was doing and she would have done the same. After years of working with animals we just know how to catch them. She would have worn gloves though. Honestly I didn't care. It made typing at work interesting till the swelling we down, but I was fine. Well now we have more cats around. A striped cat with big ears and eyes we call Dobby cat, a mysterious Siamese, and a grey cat we call momma cat, be cause she keeps having kittens. She has yet again made a home under the stairs of our apartment building and has 3 cute kittens. We love watching them. When I go home last night they were playing away by the stairs. I said I and went inside. I grabbed the cat food we keep for the strays and went back outside. As I opened the door I saw momma cat walking away. It was like she was saying "You looked at my kids, so in return you have to feed them. Get your ass out here and feed us." I laughed. I fed them and went back inside. Later I saw the kittens out on the sidewalk just being cute.
Sorry, I didn't mean for that part to be so long. It was just a funny story I wanted to share. Yesterday Brett decided to go over to J's with Nick after work to do a
Jerks Commentary, so I had to drive myself home. He dropped off the car to me and went on his way. I got in the car and found that he changed the station for me. It was cute that he did a little thing like that for me. I then started to make emergency calls to all my friends, trying to get one to come over and hang out. After spending all day by myself up in the lobby, I really didn't want to spend the night alone. I only got ahold of my friend Liz and she couldn't come over, but we did talk for almost 2 hours. After that I watched the season premier of
NCIS. I love that show. It's so funny. So yeah. Not an exciting evening.
This morning I got a e-mail from
Tokyo Cowgirl! I was so excited! I read her blog, and turns out she reads mine. ^_^ I love her blog and everyone should check it out. I also want to remind the few people that do read my blog, that I do have a
myspace account. Not that I use it much, but I do have one. So if you have one (Mythdude that means you) and haven't added me yet, please so. Well that is all for now. I need to get back to acting busy. LOL! *sneeze* Damn you fall! I love you, but you always drive my allergies wild. In the immortal words of
Tourretts Guy, "Bitch I love you!" Laters! Savvy?
