I know, I know...where the hell have I been?

Doing this! http://www.leadertelegram.com/features/chippewa_valley/article_1dd70bc0-4ae1-5264-b79b-22d4f05d1c92.html

I'm probably going to remain a bit sparse until the dust settles. We take possession during the first full week of January, and it will require an army of volunteers along with a level of organizational skill I do not instinctively have. *sigh*

However, I do check my Facebook account just about every day, since that is pretty fast and doesn't require a lot of html-type effort, so feel free to friend me on FB. The lovely katieay has!

Best of luck to all the NaNo participants. The thought of writing anything that is not a press release, a letter of capital appeal, or a thank you is an entirely foreign concept at the moment.

Happy belated birthdays to my Halloween twin rachet and to the incomparable moonlitwoods.

Things have been going fine here at Dreamcoat_central, albeit busy. Luke has moved to La Crosse and is working full-time. Erika is rockin' her Junior year, and Dreamcoat_dad is waiting for the project to be over so he can have me back. A sad note in our lives is that three weeks ago we had to say good-bye to our beloved old beagle Lovey. It was a very hard day, but we were all there and got kisses from her before we had to put her to sleep. She had been dealing with a series of seizures that were increasing in frequency and severity. The last go-round was pretty bad. It took her hearing, along with a measure of her balance. This last time, she couldn't see us either. She was very weak, partially paralyzed and terribly frightened, so we had to do the right thing. She was 14 years old, and it's been a tough adjustment to live without her. She was my constant shadow and my darling pooch, and I miss her awful, but I'm starting to get a little more used to it.

I hope that all of you are doing well. I sneak on occasionally to see what everyone's up to, but I must confess that I am largely absent. Hopefully, I'll be more social once we're up and running.
