A couple of quick non-pyromaniac updates while I'm here.

I mused endlessly about reducing the amount of coffee I drink. I scored some Pro Plus, and can confirm that a couple of them are sufficient to stave off caffeine withdrawal nicely, and they don't stain your teeth. Work is a little bit up-and-down at the moment, for various reasons, but most pressingly including a general danger of "We're doomed!
