More toddlerisms

From **FIXME, because this is my life at the moment (apart from stressful stuff about sleep deprivation and the house falling to bits than I don't want to post about):

We've been having some battles about getting dressed: **FIXME had got really very not keen on the process. So we had the bright idea of getting him to select some clothes he would like to wear from the shops. (His clothes are almost entirely hand-me-downs plus a few gifts.) In Mothercare, he found one top that was acceptable. Then in Tesco, he surveyed the available offerings before rejecting them with an airy "These are for other children." My, but class consciousness sets in at an early stage. I dare say he'd find John Lewis more acceptable.

This morning, I was sitting cross-legged, and he curled up to sit in my lap, which was cute enough. But then he carefully tucked his feet in to the space between my crossed legs, explaining, "I'll just put my feet here, so they don't get lost."
