wow...it's already light outside.
I slept from 6pm until 2:30 am today, and now it's past 7 and I've yet to go back to bed...I'm not exactly sure how to work this. My sceduale has been all out of whack and I don't think my body has a clue as to what's going on anymore.
I had a wonderful encounter Friday night however, that's worth remembering - I was out with three friends in Chicago. We had intended to go to an improv show, but the admission turned out to be $20, the guy who let us in was rude, and there were about 5 people in the audience. So we decided to screw it and get coffee instead. Unfortunately most places were closed, and one was nearly closed, with the clerk vaccuuming up inside. We ran in anyways, and the guy, who was ridiculously cute, also turned out to be ridiculously nice, saying "sure, I'll make you whatever you want and you can keep me company while I clean up." It was just...lovely. We stayed there for an hour, chatting with him and each other as we sipped our teas and lattes and hot cocoas. And I've been working with and running into so many jerks recently - it's just so refreshing to meet someone who is willing to be so kind to a complete stranger - nevermind 4 complete strangers! We need more people like that in the world.
I also drove a cargo van today - first a 14 foot UHaul, now this...and the next two weekends involve UHauls as well. They all know my name there now - the woman didn't even need to see my license this time. She was like, "oh, I remember you, honey...just sign here and you're good to go." Love it. I'm best friends with the UHaul people. I also got the gas cap off on the first try this time around - Boo Yah.
Ah well...I suppose I should try to sleep for a couple of hours. What a strange night.
