When you want something badly enough, the Universe conspires to help you achieve it.
My second summer plan came through! Now for the first two weeks of summer vacation I'm going to be in Trinidad saving leatherback sea turtles...doing night patrols on the beach and measuring, tagging, and examining mother turtles, moving nests to higher ground if its needed, and helping baby turtles make it to the ocean. There was actually only one spot left on this particular expedition when I called today - Mom thought it was a sign. ;) I can't wait...I'm going with the Earthwatch Institute, one of many "volunteer vacation" organizations out there. I'm just bursting I'm so excited - first Bread and Puppet, now this. Now my summer looks pretty complete:
June 8th - last final
June 10th - 22nd - Turtles!
June 27th - July 30th - Bread and Puppet!
August - Lake and family time!
I like this feeling too - that I went out there, I researched, I figured out what I wanted to do...and I made it happen. I am making my world the way I want it to be - surrounding myself with the people I want to be with, pursuing my interests, living my dreams (to be a little cliche) (okay, a lot cliche).I just like this feeling of momentum...of going forward, of moving while staying steady.
