Altar Madness
You know you would think with the internet being what its supposed to be you could find a simple small white wolf… or even more then that a simple small fish! I don’t even care what kind of fish anymore! But no… it looks like I’m going to have to suck it up and wait till I have some time off to go into an actual physical store to go animal/altar stuff hunting… ug… for some reason I really don’t want to… it wouldn’t be so bad if I had a better idea of where I could/would go but all I can think of is going down the main drag where all the stores are and stopping at random places like “hmmm maybe I will waist a few hours of my time in here and not even find anything! JOY!”
But considering all of the hoops I’m trying to jump threw just to get some small sealed jars of alcohol on this station for Skadi and Njord altar I might as well go hunting for the other things I was going to put on said altar. So far for Skadi I’m going to be looking for a small white wolf, some snow confetti, some light sprinkling of blood in said confetti (to look like a trail) I already have some arrow heads for her and I thought I had something else written down… hmm… can’t remember… for Njord I was going to go with a small fish figure, a hook and line, a seashell or two probably some sand and water (in another Jar) and if I can find one a small ship. Also there will be a bit of snow in his and a shell in hers to signify their bond even if they have never been very close to one another… I will also put a picture of each on the inside of the lid and I need to finish wood burning Skadi’s poem on the top, but as soon as I get all of that stuff and some fabric for each side I’ll be done! So in essence I only have… *counts fingers*… *counts toes*… 98% more to go! Wait… I’M NOT EVEN CLOSE! *sob*
But in all actuality if I where to just suck it up and get most of the stuff I could get it done in a few days… then I might feel a bit accomplished for once *giggle* though the fact that we all have to work till four on our short week… the one with the most days off in our duty rotation… sucks balls and is going to make my desire to go out and do that much slimmer then usual… though there is other good Altar news I suppose! I have finally broken down and ordered the Shon doll I had been toying with for a long time… it will probably be a LONG time before I get said doll in the mail but that first step of ordering it is done and I’m hoping to finish my altar to us sometime semi soon… and that just leaves me with the task of making a new much more appropriate altar to Loki… *flinch* for some reason that seems like its going to be a lot harder then it should be… I have never been pestered for many things by him and other then fiery stuff I have no idea what I could get him that isn’t the cheep tacky plastic stuff his other followers tend to give him… not that there is anything wrong with that *twitch* I just don’t want… eh…
I suppose in the long run it can’t be that hard if I think about it somewhat logically… I would put a bit more fire then on most altars, something for each one of his children and wives maybe a pair of hand cuffs with duel meanings, and a few symbol of change and the a few things that would/could symbolize the change he has caused in my own life, the Gods know there has been enough of it… now its just finding a way to show it physically that is the harder part… hmmm… this will still take much thinking… anyway must get to work, I have been up since 5:30, long before anyone else, but it is 7:30 now and I need to get dressed and will probably be accused of sleeping in *roles eyes* figures… and they wonder why I have stopped caring one way or the other…
