The air is still stinky *sigh* When we need a good wind to blow it all away we can’t get one. We’ve also discovered another downside to this whole situation: the displaced wildlife…
There’s already been one snakebite from dugite. Poor guy ran outside on Sunday to help his neighbor fight the blaze as it entered the vacant block between their properties and he stepped on the snake with bare feet. In the snake’s defense, it was probably as terrified as we all were and he did step on it.
On a more personal note, I refuse to share my toilet with huntsman spiders, most especially when they’re the size of saucers. I’ve had to get hubby to kill two in the last two days (I’m not generally scared of spiders, but these are big spiders). I’ve no idea why they’re flocking to my toilet, but I definitely don’t appreciate it.
I’ve spent much of today just relaxing and resting my leg, which is starting to feel better *g* We’ll see how it feels on Saturday after I do a nine hour shift at the football club… Unfortunately, I can’t get out of it, but I can sit down a lot of the time, so that’s what I’ll be doing.
Hubby isn’t working tomorrow. I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or not… On one hand, I don’t have to set an alarm, but on the other he’ll be in my hair all day *ponders*
