Still smelly
The air is slowly clearing over us. It still smells awful, but it’s not as bad as it was yesterday. I didn’t notice yesterday, but there’s a fine film of ash/dust over everything *ick* As much as it irks me, I’m not rushing around cleaning everything at once, because it’s simply not worth the pain it would put my leg in and, luckily, there’s only the three of us in the house this week, so there’s no great hurry to get it all cleaned up. So far I’ve given the kitchen the once over, but it needs a really good clean.
Mitch is also complaining about his pillow - apparently, it smells like bushfire - but there’s nothing I can do about that until the air clears totally.
The aerial patrols continued throughout the day, which is very comforting, considering it got quite warm today. The police have also officially said that it was an arsonist who was responsible for the fires. I really believe that those who light fires deliberately should be hung, drawn and quartered!
