Blowing my socks off.

WOW!
Just got back from the Muni and the performance of  Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" interspersed with Piazzolla's Spring, Autumn and Winter.
The director/conductor/principal violinist was Giovanni Guzzo - anextremely talented (and tasty) 26 yr old of world renown (but previously unknown to me).

It was unbelievably good.
I'd been grousing to myself beforehand as it was cold and sleeting and I was going to miss the Rugby for the concert and I didnt want to go after all. My, I'm glad I did.

Part of the pleasure of it was the  man himself who seemed to live every note of the music,; then the other performers who were obviously really enjoying themselves as they played.
Also it was a nearly full hall which is always good to see. I hadnt realised what I was missing, not having been to any of these concerts before. I'll definitely go again.
This was top class entertainment for the sum of £13.50. Heaven knows what they would charge in London for a similar performance.
We are SO INCREDIBLY LUCKY to be living here where there is such a richness of culture available to us.
