A most eventful day...
My day started off with a nine a.m. phone call from Q.E.D. Systems, one of the prospective employers I've given my resume to. I was pretty sure they'd hire me, but as a fire watch at $14 an hour. The bottom of the totem. Turns out they hired me as an Electrician 2. I have no idea how they rate such things, or what the salary is...but it'll be more than what I was expecting to hire in at. I have to call them tomorrow morning and find out when I start my training.
The second major event of the day is the most unfortunate. Poor danarchy84 's car broke down. I went out and rounded him up, we ate pizza, then made arrangements to get his rig towed to Big O tires. He'll find out how much the damage is some time tomorrow. Towing costs are insane. $75 for the hook up alone. I'm glad he didn't need to be towed far.
Also, he may need a ride home from work tomorrow...so if he can't get one from some one at work, we need volunteers.
The last major event of the day, is that a group of us got momokaachan settled in at my place. She has a comfortable, if crowded spot in the laundry room. Diggs is having a great deal of trouble wooing her dog Coco...
Soon...it will be even more crowded here. Friend and one time roomy Steve has to be out of his Sister's place by the first. So he and his dog Freya will be joining us here as well...
My poor cat Coco may never again leave my room...
