As some of you know...I've been having trouble with both of my vehicles. The Subaru seems to have a case of timing belt death, and the truck has a hole in the radiator. I gambled on repairing the Subaru first since by far it's the cheaper vehicle to drive.
Got it in to the dealership on saturday and waited for word on it until this morning. What car problems have the same characteristics as a timing belt/chain gone bad? Fuel injector gone bad. Worse still...replacement costs almost twice as much as replacement of the belt. To add the proverbial insult to injury....it's going to take 7 to 10 days to get the parts in.
So...(joy...!) I'm looking at around $730 worth of repairs ($808 and change with Mom's %10 off which gives me a break of about $80). And...me with not having enough. Thankfully...Mom's going to help me out some. So I don't have to scramble as much to get cash together. I'm glad I hoarded some of my tax return.
