For a few days this week, the bottom half of our fridge was not working. This resulted in spoiled milk and a horrendous stink (the unicorn butt/rainbow fart smell, if you remember), since we didn't realize it in time to move the milk to the garage or something. Anyway, after a bit of searching online, I took everything out of the freezer, unscrewed the back panel and looked at the cooling elements. Apparently too much frost buildup will stop the flow of air to the lower part of the refrigerator.
They were encased in ice. I spent the better part of the morning blow drying our freezer. Aaaand.... now we can have milk again.
In ceramics today, I had a nice return to the wheel. I haven't thrown more than a handful of pieces since leaving highschool, and I was afraid to start again and feel like a dunce. I remembered much more than I thought I would, and threw my tallest piece to date. We didn't keep anything of course, which was kind of refreshing. It was basically 2 1/2 hours of throwing cylinders, tossing them in a pile and re-wedging them to throw more cylinders.
Oh, and tomorrow (!!) Sam and I are going to see the revival production of Sweeney Todd (the one developed in London with a reduced cast who play their own instruments... = awesome) in the Overture Center, and from what I hear and read online, it's pretty cool. There will likely be more on this tomorrow night.
