So, today I ran a personal best at the parkrun -just!
30:04 - 9 whole seconds faster than previously.
No weeing, no falling over, just ran the same pace the whole way round apart from the last - relatively fast - km. Still didn't get under 30 mins, but getting closer.
The picture shows running in process, and as is fitting given the London Marathon news, I thought I'd wear the Marie Curie Daffodil Team t-shirt! Go me.
Other pic shows end of run, just collecting my place number - looking a triffle worn in this one, I thinks!

Spoke to Chris - boss of BWTT - about running clubs - he's part of the South London Harriers, who are based in Coulsdon, and I'm gonna go along on Tuesday or Thursday next week and see what's occuring - I am going to need all the help I can get to get through the marathon!
About the marathon news - had a phone call from Hazel of MCCC events, offering me a golden bond place - so the application was worth all the effort. Have got to raise £2,000, and as soon as I have offical confirmation of the place, I shall start as the more time I have, the better! Obviously, am now going to be running until April, not September, so will have to take very good care of my bones and my muscles! Am very scared, as it goes, but looking back at the entry I made on marathon day in April of this year, it would seem that I've got my wish.... and it's also very exciting.
Came home, did manic cleaning, then Mum and Dad arrived, Tesco was visited,

Dad did stunning job on the gardening front, as can be seen in the photo -(could have shown pic of him asleep in chair, but felt that would be too mean ... he might actually read the blog one day, after all!) - Mum did some dead heading, cats were generally too hot - poor moggies - and didn't know what to do with themselves. Photo below shows Frankie yesterday, as lord of the garden - King Frankie on his throne, no less!

Went to the Rambler's Rest for birthday supper - it was v yummy, but kinda sad, sitting at a table for 4, with one empty chair, at one of Phil's favourite places.
Miss you Phil. Sometimes don't know how I'm gonna get through the next 5 minutes. Gets no easier...
Anyway, to happier things.
My Aunty Marian is plainly insane - look at yesterday's comments if in any doubt - and property prices in the Lord's Wood area took a serious nose-dive yesterday, after a couple of pikeys eating fish and chips in a car caused serious lowering of tone.

Anyway, to bed, so I can be the Birthday Girl when I awake...
Final pic, bloody sunflowers .... having baby flowers... honestly!
Night, for the last time from a 37 year old Noodle!
Love (especially if you got me a card/present/text/email!!!)
