Seven years since book 7 came out. Jeez, how the time flies! Some of my favorite moments in fandom came as a result of that series, including my experience at Terminus in 2008 where I met some of the most wonderful people.

I am FINALLY finished with my costumes! Of course, by "finished," my cloak isn't hemmed on the bottom and I'm still using my old battle gloves (the ones with the eyelets falling off and fray all over). But I made my Death Eater's cloak!!! The dratted puppy ate my new microphone cord. That's two mics he's put out of commission! I bought another one earlier this evening and polished off another (long) chapter from Deathly Hallows; just the final "Flaw in the Plan" and the epilogue left to record, unless I'm mistaken! Primping for Terminus has officially begun! My nails are longer than they've ever been; even longer than the winter I had surgery on my mouth and couldn't, want to or no, bite my nails (nasty habit, but one that's been hard to overcome). With Terminus fast approaching, I am scrambling to get my costumes ready for the big week! As I don't have limitless funds with which to provide for myself a movie-accurate wardrobe, I'm making do with what I can find at thrift shops and what my sewing machine can dole out. "Aladdin" opens tomorrow, and for once I couldn't be happier to be occupied in the shop and unable to see the show. First dress was last night, and though they were supposed to have begun around 7, when I got there at 9 they'd only just begun and they couldn't get through an entire run. It was a disaster. Yay for work starting at 10AM tomorrow! To celebrate my anticipated sleeping-in, here's some doodleage from the new sketchbook. Craptastic scan, but my creativity has been low lately and this is the best I've got. Besides, it shows that I'm actually thinking about Terminus which is... good. Scary (40 days away??), but good.

We had a hugely productive day in the shop.
