Keeping Busy
Well, the job is going great. I basically prepare diets for the hippos, elephant, rhino, anteater, and wolves. I'm also in charge of cleaning up after the hippos and wolves. It's a lot of fun and I get a lot of respect from the job since it is such a demanding job (strength wise). All the guys at the zoo that heard I was working in that department were like, "wow! really?!" So it's great thus far.
I've also been keeping myself busy. I met Nate's friend Ashley who lives in Bham and I went to church with her on Sunday which had a really great message and helped me a little with something I've been struggling with. They also have a cool bible study on Thursday nights for twentysomething year olds. I'm not gonna go this Thursday, but next Thurs def. I've also met a guy named Jason who's cool. He's in a band; I'm going to go see him play on Sat.
Also, I'm making a lot of friends at work. Tomorrow I'm going to watch the zookeeper softball game, and Friday I'm gonna go out to dinner with a few people. Also what is keeping me busy is the zoo is having something called Boo At The Zoo (aka BATZ) which is like Halloween in the zoo. So my job is painting the walls all scary like. So I can't wait. I'm finally making friends and keeping busy. So that is my life so far.
