Sleeping in Willard's house is a huge change from Pyro's house in Kansas. It's colder, and there are drafts, and there's this noise all the time from the rats. Doug hasn't seen too many of them apart from Socrates, but he knows they're in the walls, under the floorboards. It could be scary if he wasn't so completely sure they were friendly. Yup.
