Well, we're officially registered for Anime Expo now! Tadah! They finally got back to my inquiry on Friday, and it turns out they did indeed flag my application as a duplicate. They also said they re-reviewed my application, and I should expect the official email saying I'm in next week, which is now this week. That email came yesterday, and we were too tired from Disneyland to deal with it, so today we registered us both, and now we can get inside the convention without doing anything illegal. ...Assuming our badges don't get lost in the mail or something. ...They have ways to work that out, surely? Like you can show them the email and some ID... Well, here's hoping we don't have to find out.
After getting some work done today, the work forecast for the week is not quite as scary as it was yesterday, but we're definitely not out of the woods yet. But for now, we're feeling optimistic. If all goes well, we can start playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soon! We've had it for months and months, but we've also had so many other things to do... The sequel coming out soon is a small part of our sudden renewed interest. And they're doing a Zelda-themed Splatfest in Splatoon 3 pretty soon.
But the biggest reason is that all our nephews seem to be into it now, and we don't want to feel left out. ...On the other hand, only two of the nephews can actually play it, because the other two's family doesn't have it. So if we played it, they would be left out... But back to the first hand, those two nephews seem to be watching a bunch of YouTube videos about it, because when we Zoomed with all the families on Sunday, they were asking their cousin which Gannon he was on. I guess the best solution would be to encourage the boys to do whatever they can to earn the game...and we can motivate them by playing the game ourselves...
Today I'm thankful for getting all the Anime Expo registration business taken care of, making pretty good progress at work today, getting Flat Luna sent off to her next destination, getting to hear Silvere speak English on Blood of the Vine (we're with Josette; accents are cute), and our nephews finally taking an interest in The Legend of Zelda.
