Last-minute batch of yuletide recs

For last-minute yuletide reading before the reveal. *g*

Friday Night Lights:
The Moment Before The Snap (PG-13) Beautifully done and sympathetic look at Buddy Garrity's back story. Buddy and his daddy agree on the basics: they both love football, God, Texas, and the good old U.S. of A. But Buddy's got plans, he's got ambitions, and all his daddy's got is a pile of debt, a dead-end job on the rigs, and, well, Buddy.

Dillon, Texas (PG) Could barely see the computer screen, my eyes were so full of tears reading this. The town of Dillon, TX fades, but its people don't.

Our Last Days as Children (PG) Heartbreaking, yet with a sense of comfort. The day Matt Saracen put his grandmother in a home was a rainy, chilly Saturday in January.

You Can't Put A Price On Tim Riggins (PG) Tim and Grandma Saracen. *loves* Wonderful and layered look at Tim.

Chuck:
selves unimaginably mine (PG-13, Chuck/Sarah) Spot-on and heartaching coda for Chuck vs. Santa Claus. She can't take any of him with her.

Four Things Bryce Larkin Regrets and One He Doesn't (PG-13, Chuck/Bryce) Sharp, funny Bryce pov. Yet there is one thing that Bryce refuses to regret, and it's why this whole exercise is stupid and he would only do it if there were flying cockroaches and the fate of the world on the line.
