The three day weekend was completely welcome and relaxing. I barely did anything except watch tv, workout, and drink. That's mostly what I would like to be doing with my winter. Workout for an hour a day, do whatever minimal cleaning/chores need to be done, watch something on TV, and then drink.
I don't think that I even mind working that much, it's just that I am getting really tired of the whole "get up early in the morning, put clothes on, find bus fare, actually get to work" part of it. If I could work from home and not put on real clothes until 10am, we would be talking some serious happiness.
Anyway, there might have been a point when I started writing this, but I don't know what it is now.
I started watching "Friday Night Lights" yesterday and it really is as good as I was told. Initially, I was not really interested in a show about high school football, but it is incredibly gripping and I had to force myself to stop at 5 episodes and go to bed last night.
Six Feet Under is next on my list, so people can stop asking me "oh my god, how did you never watch this?!?!" And then, maybe, winter will be over and I'll be ready to go outside again.
Fingers crossed. I'm really hoping that since we had such a cold and wet start to the winter season that it will peter out and end early. I realize that this hope is futile and likely to be quickly beaten to death, but I'll hold onto it for a little while regardless.
