The best thing about New Year's Eve is that it is an excuse, in the middle of the winter, to wear something pretty.

Today, I am wearing longjohns, lined wool pants, long sleeved sweater and boots. Tomorrow night, I will be wearing a sleeveless dress and open-toed shoes, weather be damned!
