So, yeah, my mom's visiting me this weekend. It's exciting, and I think it'll be fun, but I haven't had a real weekend in I don't know how long. Next weekend! I guess. Next weekend that straight girl wants to take me out dancing #mixedsignals #shesreallycooltoo #problematic
Tonight was super fun because my class (Language, Imagination, Community & Activism) went on a field trip! A poet who came and spoke with our class was having a book release party, to which we were invited. It was in a bar! I took my mom! We all got drunk! It was a good class. Then Mom and I had some really intense conversations about PRIVILEGE and HEALTH CARE and ACADEMIA and FAMILY.
It was a good night.
In other news, I had TWO phone interviews for the internship with infoMania this week! I was basically like I'LL BE WHATEVER YOU WANT ME TO BE. OH ALSO LOOK AT HOW ENDEARING AND CLEVER I AM. LOVE ME (PLEASE).
...I think it went well. #orsomething #fingerscrossed
Also I got my gold tooth yesterday! It's not as visible as I would like, but pretty much as magical as I could have hoped. I probably should have mentioned it during the interviews, but hopefully there'll be time for that in the future.
