Today, I had to go to Wal-Mart twice. Yesterday, when I was there goofing off with Amber, I could've dropped my car off for an oil change, since we were there so long. Alas, I did not, so that was on today's agenda. It only took about 40 minutes, though, so that's not too bad. Unfortunately, during that time, I had to go to the bathroom. I headed for the restroom in the Layaway section, but it was being cleaned. CLEANED! At 11:30 in the morning! Whyyyyy? So, I sucked it up and trudged to the front of the store. As I rounded the corner, I found a single strip of clear packing tape hanging in front of the door with a sign that said
"We're sorry! The Plumber is on the way! Please use the restroom in Layaway."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Arg...it was awful. The lady finally finished cleaning. I also bought a Game Boy game holder (for original/Color/Advance/DS games) because I'm tired of them just lying out on the shelf. Also, when Amber and I were finding things to hit each other with yesterday, we came across these neat little foam hats in the Crafts section. Well, they aren't hats, they're visors. They're $.79 and they have a flexible strap to go around your head. It's not exactly the best...in fact, it's the spiral binding that you'd find in a binder. The exact same plastic stuff. I picked up a white one and colored it today for my mom, and I'll give it to her for Mother's Day. The markers I had weren't working too well, though, since the foam quickly dried them all out. I'm afraid I'll have to buy more markers now! Arg! Here's an unfinished picture:
I need to find a darker, but extremely thin black marker to retrace the letters. Also, I can't say it's something I'd wear in public, so...the thought that counts, right? I'm thinking about making one for myself with a big ol' D in the middle. It'd be apropos, eh? I was proud of myself on the "M"s that I did. I've been copying fonts lately and trying to recreate them, since my creativity lies in other realms. That, and that's how I work in Photoshop: I just play around with fonts until I find something that works. Everything won't be so trite, right?
