Today was a pretty fun day.  I had lunch at Wendy's with Amber, a girl that works with me at the Theatre.  She was also in Into The Woods Jr. with me last May (she was Cinderella).  We hung out at Wendy's for about an hour, talking and eating, and then she mentioned that she needed to go to Wal-Mart.  Having nothing to do until class (and having just arrived from Wal-Mart, actually), I asked if I may accompany her, and she obliged.  We goofed off in Wal-Mart for a few hours, playing with car stuff, hitting each other with sunshades and pillows...fun times.  I dare say it was the most fun I've had in Wal-Mart. (I love the tag in the face in the picture.) When we were at the register, Cherry, another coworker from the Theatre, saw us together, and she exclaimed, "HEY!  Who would've figured I'd see you two here?  ...Together!"  She has...well, she is a sort of a loud mouth, if you catch my drift.  So, great.  I'm sure everyone at the meeting tomorrow is going to have something to say...

As we were walking back to the car, I looked at my phone.  The previous time I had checked the time, it was 2:00.  When I checked it in the parking lot, it was already 5:10!  Yikes!  I have class at 5:30!  So, Amber drove me back to my car at Wendy's, we parted ways, and the race was on!

Could I make it:

- From Wendy's to my house, and
 - From my house to CTC

in less than twenty minutes?
----------------
Nope!  Fortunately, class starts late all the time, and today it was over 10 minutes late.  I even had time to get some water and calm down after running through the hall.  Class ended up being about 30 minutes long, anyways.  I needed to attend because 1). it was the final review, and b). our Lab Books and Engineering Journals were due.  I swear, those books are such wastes of time and money.  Especially money.  Arg!

Anyways, today was fun in a lazy, hanging-out sorta way.  I also managed to try and help Dominique out with her article on childhood obesity ("Do The Truffle Shuffle!") in Orange County.  Still waiting on Wednesday for my single exam...we'll see what happens with that.

Oh!  Kimberly Olsen, the original Little Red Riding Hood (Into The Woods, OAP, '03) happened to stop by the Theatre this past weekend.  I hooked her up with a copy of the DVD.  I hope she liked it!  I didn't think I'd ever get to see her, but what a coincidence!

Mr. Eko: "Don't mistake fate for coincidence."

Or that.  That works, too.  I still need to get Nichole her copy too, but she's so busy, along with Chelsea and Crystal (and probably everyone else, too), with all of this end-of-semester hoopla.

Speaking of the Theatre...this weekend was just...just...arg.  Amber almost went crazy, and I had to yell at people to get them ready to open for the final show on Sunday.  I really hate yelling at people to get them to do something, but I swear, that's all that some of my coworkers respond to.  Then they just give up.  One "worker" even says he's quitting about twice each day, but when we tell him to go home, he changes his mind.  He's always trying to leave early, too.  I just don't get it.  It sucks working at a place where three people on staff can drive, and the Others have yet to learn about respect.  Amber ended up taking four people to La Jaliscense here in Cove because they wouldn't stop bugging her.  She had a Psychology final this morning at 8:00 that she was studying all weekend for at the Theatre, but she couldn't concentrate with everyone screaming and constantly interrupting her and demanding that she take them to eat.  She gave in and drove them there.  I talked with her when she got back, and she called them to tell 'em that they have plenty of time to walk back, because she didn't have the time to go pick them back up (this isn't a daycare, after all).  They had to run back, and one of the girls complained of "heat exhaustion"...which is junk, since one girl is a Cheerleader and two of the Others play soccer at the high school.  Whatever.  I asked one of them what had happened and why they just had to pester Amber when she was trying to study, and she had the gall to stand there and lie to me, with, "We didn't bother her at all.  We asked Amber if she'd take us, and she did.  Then she went all crazy and told us to walk."  At this time, Amber was walking right behind her, and she heard what the girl told me.  Amber needed some time alone, so the rest of us got ready to open...except for three of the people that went to eat.  They were playing around in the Theatre.  I told them to please join the rest of us so we can let people in.  They didn't come.  I gave them one minute to make it into the lobby before I went back into the house.  Two of them were sitting down, and one was still playing around onstage.  This prompted me to do the following:

"HEY!  GET IN THE LOBBY!  RIGHT NOW!"

That wasn't fun at all, but they got the message.  Now I'm going to be hated at work because I asked them to do something, then ended up yelling at them, since they wouldn't obey several orders.  Great.

So, tomorrow...err, today, we'll see what happens at the Theatre.  I also came in early on Sunday afternoon to clean up all the trash behind Sanders' X-Treme Uth building, since he keeps telling us to clean it up, but we don't have the space to put the trash.  I just piled everything in the dumpster and jumped on top of it for a bit.  I'm a portable trash compactor.  Maybe that's just one less thing they'll complain about at the meeting.  We can only hope.

I wish everyone the best of luck this week, whether it be with school, papers, articles, finals, work, significant others, etc.  Good luck, have a great week!
