After Jack gets eaten by the Kraken, the surviving crew go back to Tia Dalma's house in the swamp. There they discover that Barbossa is alive; Tia Dalma raised him from the dead, for reasons that she'll explain in the third movie. She says they need Barbossa to be their guide to World's End, where they need to go to get Jack back from the dead

Ah, thanks a lot! I remember the part with Barbossa and Tia Dalma now. I assumed that the third movie would explain stuff (like why they are in Singapore) as I continue watching, but I also remembered that I should know why Barbossa had reappeared. Now I can go watch the film at last.
