The Washington Square News, the campus newspaper at NYU, published a Valentine's Day issue which headlined with an article titled "NYU Students Tie the Knot". But I'm getting ahead of myself. A few nights ago I received an email from one of the Washington Square News writers saying he was doing an article on NYU students who announced they were engaged on the internet database for students "Facebook". He asked if Alex and I would be willing to speak with him for a brief period of time about our relationship. I was thrilled to do the interview, and so Alex scheduled a phone conversation later that evening. End of story? Our nuptials were PUBLISHED in a newspaper! I was so excited that I scampered (yes, scampered) to the nearest newspaper bin on "campus" [because NYU doesn't really have a campus] and I got myself a copy. The sad news is that the excitement of our upcoming wedding [I feel] lost a bit of its momentum with the error made of the wedding date in June? I'm not sure how the mistake was made; I assure all WSN readers that the big day is still March 9th (which is a mere 23 days away, by the way...)
Read the article for yourself if you're interested, but don't be surprised-- we're briefly mentioned, but published, nevertheless!
