Against stereotypes

I love being witness to a situation that is SO against stereotype; On the [longest possible] subway trip Alex and I took to Brooklyn to visit and book the limos for the wedding, there was this guy dressed very-typically ghetto. *We were in Brooklyn, after all. He was, however, playing around with a Rubik's Cube. One would think, "Ok, it's a long train ride. He brought along something to pass the time." Only the amount of time it took him to solve this cube was not about to pass a lot of time. Alex clocked him at about 30 seconds! (This is, by the way, starting from completely "mixed-up" positions which he couldn't possibly have memorized.) Anyway, so amazing. He even started solving one ONE-HANDED! So, I naturally looked up the world records for Rubik's Cube solving. This one takes the cake: Toby Mao (USA), US Championship 2006, 10.48 seconds! SO COOL! ...and so great that I'm amused by this stuff... ::grin:: 28 days...
