10 Ways You Can Tell Dodger_Winslow Wrote This Fic:

Huh. Let's see. Well, I'm not sure these are true of absolutely EVERYTHING I write, but they certainly would be overwhelming trends in the vast majority of it ...

John's gonna be the GOOD GUY. *hee* this is the first thing I thought when I saw the topic of the meme.

Also I would say that you humanize(?) the monsters. Which I guess is really number 7. I like the way you make them more than simple a throwaway tool for the action or just something to kill.

Great meme!

I love number 7 too! "Evil" people never think they're evil. It's one of the key rules to playing a dynamic villian. So I imagine it's one of the key rules in WRITING a dynamic villian.

I love this whole list!

Villians never think they are wrong. They think they are justified. They just have a whacked view of what constitutes justified. :D

And honestly, what interesting character doesn't have a moral compass that's just a little bit skewed? Even Dean Winchester has no problem hustling pool and using credit card scams, and he's a "good guy"! It's those details which make him a dynamic character.

What I love about your writing is your ability to exist in a single moment. Really draw it out in a breath taking, consuming way. It feels like I'm really inside an actual person as he (I love your John's brain) lives through the day. You never rush and I never wish you would. It is pretty fantastic. :)

That is such a cool thing to say. Thank you so much. Sometimes I worry a little that my pacing suffers from my unwillingness to rush certain moments, but I find myself incapable of rushing anyway. So thank you so much for not only noticing that, but also commenting in such a great way on it.
