Our new parenting guru

A few months ago Edward was talking to his workmate Tobbe about Annika falling off the bed, and that we were thinking of buying guardrails or putting the mattress on the floor because she was getting so good at crawling and we were sure that she'd fall off again. Tobbe said he and his wife never did those things for their two co-sleeping baby girls - they simply taught them how to climb down from the bed. I was a bit dubious at the idea of a not-yet-one-year-old learning how to do this without hurting herself, but agreed to give it a try.

The past week Annika's become an expert at climbing down the bed by herself. this is the only time we caught it on video, but she can do it much faster than that and without anyone holding her. And I have a new parenting mentor. All Hail Tobbe!

This just goes to show that you should never underestimate what your baby can learn :)
