A few months ago Edward was talking to his workmate Tobbe about Annika falling off the bed, and that we were thinking of buying guardrails or putting the mattress on the floor because she was getting so good at crawling and we were sure that she'd fall off again. Tobbe said he and his wife never did those things for their two co-sleeping baby girls ( Read more... )

Aliw panoorin yung foot movements ng Boch as she searches for solid ground. :p

How did you teach The Boch to climb down --- did you demonstrate it for her so she could copy what you were doing or did you place her in the appropriate positions so she could become familiar with them? And did Tobbe teach you how to do it step-by-step or kayo na yung nag-devise ng method based on his idea?

When she wanted to climb down iniikot ko siya so that she would be in position, then I'd hold her by the back of her shirt (like Mama's doing in the video) while she put her legs down. She does this while getting down from the sofa too. Tobbe just said "teach her how to do it" and we made up our own teaching method :D

we taught kaida early na rin, sobrang natakot kasi kami na baka malaglag sya. around 10 months sya natuto. i think you've seen the vid. XD

after teaching her that, joskopo ayaw na mag-stay sa kama! be afraid, e very afraid pag na-master na ni annika yan. XD

Hehe buti na lang I'm a very light sleeper!
Si Aru din ba hindi nagigising even if Kaida's climbing all over him na? Si Edward parang bato matulog e.

lol. si aru light sleeper. kahit nga minsan ako yung makakasagi sa kanya biglang babangon sa gulat kasi akala nya si kaida yun at baka malalaglag na sa kama. >.>

ako rin relatively light sleeper. natuto lang ako because of kaida, noon grabe mantika talaga ako. XD

e ayun minsan gulay kami pareho ni aru, nagising kami in panic one time kasi may nag-crash. si kaida bumangon na pala at naglalaro na sa may mga dvd at nakalat nya lahat ng cds. @_@

warning lang talaga, especially if she wakes earlier than you. XD

I used to worry about the same thing. My mom also suggested the same thing to me back then. I was doubtful at first but it turned out pretty well. You're right, we should not underestimate babies. They learn so fast.

Take care.

That's great advice from Tobbe ha! I should remember that. I watched the video and Annika is soooo cute! She's looking more and more like you everyday! I love her moment with Share Bear. :) Ang galing din ng getting down from the bed moment. Good girl!
