I hate being dependent on medicine. I don't even like taking aspirin for a headache; I prefer lying down and waiting for it to go away.
So I tried skipping my anti-nausea medicine for 36 hours just to test if I can survive without it. Turns out I can't, because I then proceeded to throw up everything I ate. You know how dizzy and light-headed you get after missing just one meal, how your stomach growls and you can't think straight? Try missing five meals in a row (or eating them and just having them come back up) - while trying to work full-time, take care of an active toddler for around 4 hours a day, and growing a human being in your uterus - and you may be able to imagine how much I'm starving.
But the problem is, when I do take my medicine I still feel nauseous and so sleepy that 10 hours a night isn't enough. I could sleep all day if given the chance.
I really should go on sick leave until the worst part of this is over.
