Hyperemesis gravidarum

We suspect that I have this condition. I've lost 4.2 4.5kg, about 7% of my pre-pregnancy body weight because I've been throwing up so much; even drinking water too quickly can make me run to the sink. I was prescribed medicine that is supposed to prevent nausea and does work some of the time (unwelcome side effects: dizziness and a desire to sleep the whole day), but I'm still slowly losing weight despite taking it twice a day. And hehe, I noticed just now that it causes hallucinations when taken in large doses:

People who consume a high recreational dose can possibly find themselves interacting normally with a hallucination and have normal conversations with for example a hallucination of a family member. A common sometimes frightening hallucination is of insects and spiders. Hallucinations are more frequent and unpleasent in a setting with little or no light. Inexperienced users of deliriants are liable to panic.

I'll take visions of spiders over throwing up all the contents of my stomach everyday, thank you.

Thanks to everyone who posted their well wishes in my last entry. Ria, we stayed in the whole midsommar weekend because I was just too sick, but Annika got to do the festivities at dagis naman :) and I'm sure you can make arroz caldo or lugaw if you're craving it! Ako noong isang araw naghahanap ng asado siopao, hehe. Meron kaya sa Hongkong Trading?

In other news we signed the contract on a 3-bedroom apartment south of Stockholm. Right now it takes Edward almost 90 minutes to get to work every morning and the same time to commute back home; after we move in September his office will be a 5-minute walk away. I only hope my nausea will have abated by then and that Annika gets a spot at a good daycare.
