I was bored the other night, so I tossed in Guitar Hero I in my PS2 and thought I'd play some of the songs that I had problems with 5 staring on expert, and some songs that i could barely get by on Expert (Sans Cowboys From Hell). I also choose to do this because I've heard that after playing Guitar Hero II it makes GHI so much easier.
Man they weren't kidding. I was doubling a lot of my scores on the bonus songs on expert. I went from a 70k 3* on one song ( I want to say "Behind The Mask") to over 150k and 5*'ing the song. One one of the songs, The Upper Crust song, I went from a 4 star 100k something to almost 190k, and only missing like only 10 notes. I went from barely passing crossroads to 4*'ing it. It really is easier. I did catch myself trying do some hammer on and pull offs when they're pratically impossible to do on GHI. I got some the "bend" hammer ons though.
The bonus songs are so much better on GHI, minus some if the big names songs from GHII, like the songs from Buckethead, Shadows Fall, and All That Remains.
