I love the idea of Donna and Eleven meeting. I think that Donna would still be Donna, but Eleven doesn't have all the parts of Ten that caused Donna to want to tell him off so much. So I think there might be an interesting dynamic there.

I think Amy and Rory could have gotten along with Ten, but I can't see them working with Nine at all.

River could totally get along with any Doctor. While only Eleven is her Doctor, to her they are all the same person on some level.

It would be really entertaining to see River with Four and Romana. Romana and River would probably join forces, and the Doctor would not know what to do with both of them being fabulous and trying to outsmart him at once. :P

Martha and Eleven have already met in the Doctor Who comics; It was strained; He was still harping on the Osterhagen Key, complete forgetting that Martha not only opted out of using it, but pursuaded the other two people not to use it. She got under his skin mentioning Jack and the 456, and they parted on friendly terms, but not friends. I'm curious, as Moffat has stated that Martha is the only one of the Three of Ten's companions that he can logically bring back in a UNIT story, that if Freema gets the time, and he writes something, if he plans to keep the relationship between the two characters lukewarm ( ... )

I think Amy would've handled Six well, too. Anyone who didn't get insulted by his jabs or shot a jab back him/herself rather easily dealt with Six. In the audios, he's more mellow, so ... he'd be more apt to get along better with most any of the NuWho companions there.

Well, Six.... Where there is Amy there is Rory. And we would have to alter the basic elements of the Pond/Doctor relationship that makes it special--at least for me. Adult Amy with Rory could tolerate Six yes, however Amy is in the Doctor's life because he went back to help Wee Ameila. Six after he regenerated was not ift company for an adult let a seven year old child. Just plain scary. Seven and Amy/Amelia--I love that image.

I didn't know Martha and Eleven had met in the comics! I probably would have hunted down the issue if I had, although if they weren't getting along, I'm rather glad I didn't. That's kind of sad, because Eleven seems like he could have been nicer to Martha than Ten was.

I like to think that after an initial period of shock, that people who love the Doctor would be able to recognize his innate core personality. I mean, I love the Doctor, and it doesn't matter to me which one it is. :)

Although I agree that the Doctor is the Doctor, I think that kind of recongition would depend on the kind of shock. For example it probably took Peri a minute or two to reconcile that the man who had knocked her the floor and was strangling the life out of her was the same man who hours beore had had struggled to milk a tiny bat, and died to gave her the last bit of the antedote. Same man--she watched him change--but it would difficult to prove under those circumstances that change of face did mean some significant change in the individual.
Alhtough I do wonder if part of his unbalance--well not to the point that he strangles the woman--was due to what must have seemed Peri's rejection of him.
River immediately recognized the Ten as the Doctor, but not necessarily the man she fallen in love with. She said he was young--and interestingly enough as she had seen his other incarnations in some form--younger than she had ever seen him, and thought his 'youth" made him difficult to deal with.

I love the random Jack in your icon. Especially with his creepy grin.

I love Jack's grin, but mostly I love a variety of Doctors.

I will be very, very disappointed if we never get the chance to see Eleven interact with Martha, Mickey, and/or Jack onscreen. Ten's relationships with Martha and Jack were particularly, ahem, fraught, and it'd be nice to see if Eleven could smooth over those rough edges somewhat even if he never actually apologized for the way he'd treated them in the past. And Eleven meeting Mickey would be hilarious because Mickey doesn't hold the Doctor in any particular reverence and you just know he'd take the mickey have a laugh over the Doctor's new look (and apparent age).

I don't really know Eleven so I can't comment on that, but I'd looooove to see, like Donna & Six, or Martha and Eight. I think Martha and Five would get along smashingly, too.
