It's amazing how quickly the feeling of confidence falls to foolishness once the thing that is meant to be done is done. I am ready to start doing things for myself again. It's terrible how easily I am overwhelmed by possibilities; it's the sheer quantity of everything. It amazes me the way something comes along and shifts the world in your favor just when you think you're going to fall.

Making progress, slowly but surely.

I called the Rubicon about available volunteer opportunities and have a meeting with one Amber Landis on Tuesday at 11. We'll see how that goes. I shook like an aftershock while on the phone but somehow managed to keep my voice steady. I don't think she could hear my heart beating from my throat.
