Fic Rec - Captive Prince
I cannot say enough about this story, so I'm going to mention this one more time in hopes that my flist will at least give this a try.

The spare, clean prose has an elegance to it that is uniquely freece's
And freece is obviously very well educated (or at least extremely well-read) since she uses words I sometimes have to look up (not surprising since I'm a college drop out screenwriter by training, so am almost a hack), but whenever I need to do that the word choice is always perfect.
Read this fic immediately, even if you never read original stories or slave-fics or don't want to start reading a new WIP.
Her chapter ending cliff-hangers are always terrific and the twists and turns are so surprising at times, I've stopped trying to anticipate how things will unfold. I was never right when I used to try, which I'm glad of. Reading a story that is unpredictable (in a good way) is a treat...
She has gradually unfurled a fantastic world that is complex and fascinating in such a way that it's completely addicting.
I can honestly say, I've read published novels (best-sellers even) that weren't as well written as this.
This story is like good literary fiction, (not pretentious, but rich and descriptive with lush characterizations), but it's an online fanfic with action and sex. I can't say that I've read anything quite like this, so literate yet so slashy with exciting twists and turns...
The characters so clearly defined, their voices so uniquely theirs, that I feel like they're almost like real people or that this made-up world had actually existed, it's so well drawn. However, she doesn't 'dump' everything on you at once. The world slowly unfolds and reveals itself to the reader gradually, as do the mysteries and intrigues.
I look forward to each and every update and I was excited to see that she had updated again today, so please, do yourselves a favor and READ THIS STORY.
You won't be sorry.
