Stolen from Nikki!

Go to Wikipedia and look up your birth day (excluding the year). List three neat facts, two births and one death in your journal, including the year.

October 1

Events

1903 - Baseball: The Boston Americans play the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first game of the modern World Series.

1908 - Ford introduces the Model T car.

1931 - The original Waldorf-Astoria Hotel is opened in New York. (I have to post this one. I work for Hilton, the current owner of the hotel. It is, indeed, a glorious hotel. There is a dress code just to enter the lobby. Yeah. It's that kind of place.)

Two more 'cause they're good:

1946 - Nazi leaders sentenced at Nuremberg Trials.

1971 - Walt Disney World opens in Orlando, Florida, United States.

(There are a whole lot more, that are quite good. Activision was founded... There are a whole ton of political things that happened. The first bullet-train, the breaking of the sound barrier... Lots of common themes. It's intriguing.)

Births

1924 - James Earl Carter, Jr. , 39th President of the United States, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize

1930 - Sir Richard Harris, Irish actor (d. 2002)

Deaths

2004 - Bruce Palmer, Canadian musician (Buffalo Springfield) (b. 2997)
(Picked because he's both the only person I faintly recognize, AND he was from the future! Born in 2997? Hells yeah. Too bad he's dead, now. I'd have asked him what the world was going to turn out as.)

Whole lot of independence days on my birthday. Three, plus China's National Day. (The day it became a nation.)

This is rather interesting. Not that I would need to know any of this. But it's interesting!

You join in, too!

By the way! I forgot to add this before... The file, the song. I didn't do any of the guitar parts. I did the bass, I did two of the acoustic parts, the rest was done by others. Tons of people from my board. 6 of 'em or something. I did the mixing of it, though. 'Cause that's what I do. I mix. Like the lobster in that commercial. Except I don't pinch. I mix. :D
