Sorry I haven't been on much, lately. I have been reading everyone's stuff, though I haven't had much time to respond.

It's been one of those days. The kids played at the playground for a long time. Now they are completely exhausted and whiny. Just a few more hours 'til their daddy gets home. Then they can get their showers and GO TO BED!

Now, some things I love about my kids:

Little man:
-cleaned his entire room the other day. He picked up all of his laundry, put away his toys, swept the floor, and vacuumed his rug. He even pulled his bed away from the wall to get all the stuff lurking back there. I loved it even more b/c PA has no excuse for not picking up after himself when his four-year-old can do it.
-got stung by a yellow jacket and went back out to play after the tears. He still doesn't have that squealy fear of bees that I can't stand.
-is using words like process, remove, and demonstrate.
-eats and eats and eats. As annoying as it is that he will steal all of the food off of my plate if he gets the chance, I am glad that he eats well and likes healthy food. Favorite food at the moment: Lima beans.
-is trying to speak Spanish. We checked out Hay una vaca entre las coles. He yells, "There's a cow in the cabbages!"
-translates for his sister. If I can't figure out what she's saying, he can usually tell me.
-does well in preschool. I think every parent wonders how their kids will act when they are out of direct contact. Luckily, he seems to be behaving himself.

Little girl:
-is completely potty trained. She's in "big girl underpants" and everything. This is the first time in 4+ years that I can leave the house without diapers, wipes, etc.
-has finally come around to liking broccoli, loves okra, and fights her brother for lima beans.
-tries and tries on her training-wheel-less bike.
-is the most thankful little kid I have ever met. She has thanked me so many times for the clothes I bought her at the consignment sale. "I yike my new clothes, Mommy."
-puts everything to music. She'll make a whole song out of what's going on around her, usually to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.
-says much better and dat's not good depending on the situation.
-will break bad on some kid for playing too rough with Baboo (Brother) even though he and the kids he plays with are bigger than her. I usually intervene before she gets a chance to get worked up because she will head-butt someone in the face if she deems them deserving. As kind and gentle as she can be, she has a fierce temper. Apparently, those are genetic. :)

They both have been enjoying the time they have spent with Uncle Richard. They sit on his lap and jabber at him and make him watch all their tricks. Very cute.
