I'm sitting in front of my very first successful* fire in this house... it's big and roaring and crackly, and makes me super happy that it's finally turning colder so that fires are appropriate. Last week, after receiving my $140 PG&E bill, I went out and bought a cat door. Up until this point, we had been leaving the back door open a crack for them to get in and out. All night. All day.
