Nice day

I love days like this.  (cue Shaun Escoffery singing)

Woke up to cooler outside than inside.  Proceeded to walk dogs, then open all windows and have a nice breeze blowing fresh air in the house.  Drinking coffee, stretching and getting ready to do some painting.

I'm ready to paint in the bathroom and in the living room.  Last night I put in the drywall to cover up the huge space left below the large window when they pulled out the old heater unit/cover in the living room.  When I upgraded from hot water piping to forced air for my heating, I was left with all these holes in the outer walls (and one inner wall in the bathroom) where the heater pipes and covers were.  I'm now down to the ones in the bedroom and kitchen that need to have drywall and plaster/paint.  the ones I've done so far (studio, living room, bathroom) are all in rooms I've either already renovated or am in the process of renovating.

These little parts of things I need to finish in rooms I've already done most of the work in are things I want to concentrate on this week.  To know I'm finally "all done" in the studio and living room will be a great feeling.  Tim always teases me about how I never quite finished projects, and I know it's something I need to work on.

On Wednesday the feature at the Cantab is Maze Forever.  They're anticipating a pretty full house for this one, and I'm spending some time making loops now that I have a better idea how the open/feature can flow and what I want to play.  Making loops will save space and eliminate having to search for certain parts of songs.  I'm starting a "poetry" library in Scratch for all those bits so I can have them for readings.  This really was a great idea before nationals, and I'm glad to be getting this stuff done.

Scott - I actually wrote down a list last week but it's on the other laptop.  One thing I do remember is that someone referenced "I Wanna Be Your Dog" in a poem and I pulled it up from the library and played it as their outro - exactly the sort of thing I'd hoped for when I thought about using the system I've got.

Cowboy - if you want to go this week, I can use a strapping lad to carry my stuff.  I wasn't sure if you'd want to go since the feature was supposed to have already been in Worcester.  Since he didn't make it, I guess that's not an issue, so holler back and let me know.  I usually try to be there early (6:30), I've been getting out of here around 5:30 or a bit later, so I"m not always there at 6:30!.

I think that's enough blathering for now.

gigs, djing, renovations
