I pissed off my back by carrying my 70 lb daughter around on my shoulders last weekend then spending 10 hours scrubbing floors and mowing the lawn. Now I'm confined to my house and not allowed to do anything but watch movies and pop Valium. With punishment like this I may never learn.

How can someone who has as full and meaningful of a life as I have still feel lonely? I have had an incredible week. I had three social engagements on Monday and three more on Wednesday. I went to see RENT last night and had an amazing time. Even thought I know stage production forwards and backwards and was fully aware of every time they deviated from that script I was still able to enjoy the movie for what it was. I usually don't get that excited about the movies that are coming out. Usually I can wait until they come out on video and then I usually have so many other things going on that it still seems to take forever for me to get around to seeing them. Well it looks like there are some movies coming out that might just get me to the theater.

So I have surrendered to the fact that I am sick. There will be no running around for me today. No, I'm going to lay on the couch with a cup of hot tea, a box of Kleenex and watch sweet sappy movies. The Kleenex are both for my nose and my eyes.
