It’s Official!
I am officially single! After nearly two months of not hearing from my attorney and not receiving any legal correspondence from my x’s side I decided to call the court to find out what, if anything, was happening with my divorce.
“Oh that’s been filed.” is what I’m told.
Huh?!?
Yup. The final degree was submitted and in effect as of July 17th so I rushed right down to the courthouse to find out what it said. It’s not perfect. I’m sure if my attorney was doing her job some of it would have been different but the important thing is that it is done. There is nothing left to fight about. Now it’s just a matter money and it’s not going to break me. In fact I’ll come out of this just fine.
