So missy_manic geeked out when she managed to get tickets for us both to visit Aldwych underground station. This station is closed to the public but is kept for training staff and for requests for filming locations that resemble the London Underground. Finally something fairly interesting to post! A few weeks back it was Open House weekend (where usually shut buildings/spaces are open to the public for tours/viewing). Did not manage to get tickets to go to the BT Tower (poo!) but did go to a North London event. Gaumont Palace, now the Dominion Church in Wood Green. And wow! it is big! ( Read more... )

@ Green Lanes, North London. I love this street - so multicultural and full of history. And today was the first Food Festival to celebrate the area. The road was closed to traffic for street stalls of mainly food, and some others for local business, events, info. I hope they do another one.
