(and More Love Quizzes) at Your New Romance. I picked up this little quiz and what a hoot it was. I would say I am very "mouthy" like Carrie, but I do not have a great closet full of clothes....especially ones that really look good...lol. Unless you count camo??????
Men...ah geesh. The all dreaded subject. I guess my best analogy would be a rather crude one comparing them to corndogs. Men look good and boy can they be tempting at certain times in life...but when you're done with 'em you just feel guilty and bloated...hahahahahahaha.
I like Loretta Lynn's song "family tree" it has a neat little verse about relationships that have gone sour due to infidelity:
"No I didn't come to fight,
if he were a better man I might,
but I wouldn't dirty my hands on trash like you.
So send out the babies daddy...that's who they've come to see,
Not the woman who's burning down our family tree"
Well put Loretta....a man worth fighting for wouldn't put you in a situation to fight for him...if that makes sense.
I've been really into Loretta's latest CD lately. I think Jack Black (that is his name right?) got way to into his guitar intros and needs to rethink the entire idea of two minute solos....BUT other than that it was pretty darn good. I really enjoyed "high on a mountain top" since I live VERY close to where Loretta is talking about and my area shares the same characteristics as her childhood home.
"High on a mountain top, we live, we love, we laugh alot,
Folks up here know what they've got...high on a mountain top.
High on a mountain top, the rest of the world's like a little bitty spot.
I ain't comin' down no, never I'm not.
High on a mountain top"
My favorite is:
"We lay on our backs and count the stars, cause up here folks heaven's not that far."
Ain't it true! Even though we are the most backwards people on the face of the earth, the Appalachians are pure joy and wonder when you take the time to look at them. It is an entirely different world. I would wish for everyone to know what I'm talking about, but then again I enjoy the secret beauty of my area and am glad that it still remains untouched for the most part.
"No matter where I go I'll leave my heart and soul in the boondocks!"
