Yesterday I bought a guidebook for Amsterdam and found out that we are going to be there when the tulips are in bloom (April). I am actually really excited about that!
Clearly the guidebook is in Spanish but it isn´t a problem. Generally, although I can read and understand things fine, its just a pain in the ass for me and I prefer to have them in English. This time though, there wasn´t the option so I deal. I really have to stop being so lazy because before I leave this country, it would be nice to be fluent. Not just at the point that I can understand to a pretty advanced level and communicate at sort of an upper intermediate level, but actually fluent. The podcasts I listen to are actually helping.
Speaking of podcasts, I am still LOVING yogamazing.com video podcasts. I did the one today for IBS because I have had digestive issues in the past and it was a really smooth session. Chaz, the host, doesn´t annoy the piss out of me like some other videos. I tried to do one last night that was sort of a wind down evening yoga and the girl who was leading it was so freaking annoying that it was soo NOT conducive to relaxation for me. Plus the session was dumb. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. It is so nice to be doing SOMETHING again. Granted, a 20 minute video is absolutely not the same as an entire 90 minute in person class, but right now, for me, this fits my lifestyle and budget so it´s what i´m working with.
The raw food thing is going swimmingly. I´m still loving it, and i´m loving how my relationship to food is changing slowly. Not binging on crap and then feeling even crapper about myself is lovely.
I´m really excited that in Amsterdam there are 2 raw cafes, so that will sort of be the culmination of it all. Not to have to prepare everything myself will be so cool.
Madrid is direly in need of a raw food place. SOMETHING, ANYTHING!!! No one else seems to know about it, so maybe I should host a potluck or something. We shall see.
