Well, it was all over. All that was really left was choosing who would move on to the actual tournament, but that was something that the judges were going to take care of in the next few days away from the gym.

And where was Suoh, now that all the entrants were filtering out?

On the mat, sprawled out on his back, aching all over from so much activity after months of not practicing. He managed to hold his own against the other fighters just fine and hadn't gotten injured (though arguably The Boulder came close) but that didn't mean he wasn't sore as hell.

Kazuma was next to him, crouched down and prodding his shoulder with a finger.

"Suoh-saaaaan. Are you going to live?"

"Maybe. I'll just be slightly broken for a while..."

Once all the matches were over, Quatre headed over to where Suoh was laying on the mats. He was pretty sure that his boyfriend wasn't injured, but he was obviously worn out. Sitting down next to him, he pressed a water bottle against Suoh's forehead. "Hey, are you okay Su?"

Suoh sighed thankfully at the cool bottle on his forehead, smiling at Quatre.

"Tired. And sore. I'll be fine, though."

"Good." He leaned over and kissed Suoh's lips. "You were pretty amazing, you know?"

Suoh's cheeks went redder than they already were.

"Eheh... it wasn't that impressive, was it?"

"It was!" Kazuma insisted, "Gave me a run for my money, Suoh-san."

"I bet you weren't letting them beat on you for the first five minutes, though."

"True... ugh, I think that Boulder man gave me the most bruises, though. And Curtiss-san grabbing me at the start was not what I was expecting... at least we know it'll be g a good tournament."

"It's not for another month. What about now? Are you even going to be able to get home like this?" Kazuma asked, frowning a little in worry at Suoh's condition.

"I'm sure I can manage to get you home." Quatre said with a smile and stroked Suoh's hair. "And when we get home I can run a hot bath for you...that should help the bruises a little."

"Mmm... bath..." Suoh mumbled.

"Come on, Suoh-san. Get up before you fall asleep on the mat," Kazuma said, getting up and pulling Suoh up in to a sitting position.

"Su, why didn't you say anything?" Quatre asked with a smile and hugged Suoh around the waist carefully. "This is wonderful."

He kissed Suoh's cheek, "I'm glad then." Holding out his hand to Alice he directed his warm smile at her. "Thank you Miss Hamilton."

Alice gave Quatre's hand a firm shake.

"Quatre, right? Suoh told me about you."
