At 7:00 PM, thunder boomed throughout the park, and a classic, evil laugh filled the air. The doors of Carnival Stadium swung open to welcome attendees to the ball ( ... )

Palmon palmed his face. This was slightly humiliating.

"Oh, come on, would you hurry up?" Daimon Sayu asked as she tried dragging the Digimon through the door. She was dressed up as, well...

She was curious, and so she decided to go see what the dance was about. She liked dances. And social gatherings. Even if she was just a wallflower to the side with Sayu for most of it.

Yufu, unfortunately, was slightly taken aback by the amounts of people who were dressed for the occasion. The ... formal wear? Yeah, she wasn't prepared for that.

So, in her long, white braid and, her heavy white coat, and heavy black boots ... er, in other words, her normal everyday outfit, Yufu stepped inside and just.

Stared.

Yeah, that's what she did. She stared.

At 8:30 PM, the music in Carnival Stadium wound down temporarily. Organ music began to fill the area, and in a shower of sparks Katherine appeared on the stage once again. "I'm sad to say, I've just received a call from the Netherworld," she said gravely into a microphone. "They're complaining that all the noise is making it impossible for the dead to rest... Well, that's their problem, isn't it? We'll just have to turn it up a little louder, won't we?!"

She raised her hand to forestall applause, and she grinned. "But before that, I have an announcement to make. In thirty minutes, at 9:00 O'Clock sharp, the Costume Contest will commence with judging! If you've signed up, pull yourself free from the zombie hordes and make your way to the stage by that time," she said. "And if you haven't signed up, well, what are you waiting for? The sheets are still out there! Sign up now! We've got a Digimental of Darkness waiting for a new home, and lots of other prizes to go around ( ... )

It was a bit odd for someone of his position to enter such a thing, but after all that had happened, Suguru needed a break like this. This was something that was supposed to be fun... and in the end, we were all here to enjoy life, right?

So, he walked out on stage in the signature long, blue, red, and black coat of his good friend and fellow commander, Satsuma Rentarou. He'd even dyed his hair blue and adorned an identical pair of sunglasses.

But that wasn't the end of things. Trotting out behind him was Leormon, whose fur had been dyed white and gold, and who now wore an oversized mockery of a Holy Ring. While Suguru looked to be enjoying himself, "Kudamon" looked absolutely mortified.

Swooping from the rafters onto stage in a dramatic fashion and a flash of cape was a figure that so many were all too familiar with.

But he'd been missing for over a year he couldn't be back could he?

As the massive imposing figure rose his outfit crinkled a little and the light shining off it revealed it to be Silver instead of black.

"I am Vengeance!" Growled the figure striking a pose.

"I am the night!" He struck another pose.

"I AM THE DUCT NIGHT!" He called and his form was revealed with his final pose swishing out his cape!

It was Beastboy, covered head to toe in Duct tape to look like a batman costume.

How he would peel it off later was anyone's guess.

"RAWR!" A spider monster crashed across the stage swiftly chasing a digimon.

"How did I get roped into this?" Cried Gottsumon as he scrambled across he stage dressed as a Flymon.

"Shut up and be food!" Hissed Sandy as she pounced on him, extra legs wobbling, her grotesque looking spider mask dripping goo that was supposed to be drool onto a less then thrilled Gottsumon as he pretended to struggle.

Sandy realized a rope from her D-reader and began to hogtie the poor monster with a speed that would make a professional rodeo rider jealous.

Trick or Treat Street! scrapperzen October 30 2010, 23:47:33 UTC
Wearing a long length of chain wrapped all around his body, and with skulls hanging at various points on the chain, GrapLeomon was once again patrolling the stretch of booths that had been designated as Trick or Treat street for the event.

This year, Kat had contracted out with several businesses to open booths in the area. They would be expected to have candy for the young tamers, but it was also an effort to get adults more involved in this portion of the event as well.

There were also games dotting the street. There was a stand with Bobbing for Apples, a stage where people could compete in Scarecrow stuffing with several Nohemon who needed themselves restrawed, Pumpkin carving stations which would be judged later, and many, many other events for people of all ages.

(OOC: Trick or Treat Street is open! All businesses who want to have a shop, feel free to open it up here ( ... )

A pale specter with flowing pink hair clad in rags greets you in a light and airy voice, her eyes unfocused and glassy, "Welcome to our parlor, can I get you something to warm your soul?"

It was of coarse Jinx, having set up a mini dining area with gruesome decor and monstrous treats. She herself was sipping from an eyeball highball, a martini glass with what appeared to be an eyeball floating in it.

Jake Clawson walked into the Haunted Teashop, a smirk on his face. This place seemed to be his kind of establishment. The kat walked over to Jinx and smiled at her.

"I'd like somethin' to warm my soul," he said, his voice lighter than it was when he was Razor, but it would still be recognized if Jinx was paying close attention. His neck had scabbed over now and with the black sleeveless shirt he wore, they were also visible if one looked hard enough.

Jinx noticed right away, there was so many tells. Everything from the way he moved to that voice. Still she was an expert and kept her expression smoothed out and calm, "Coming right up sir~" She responded slipping away to make him a hot chocolate. Subtly and carefully she produced a tracking device from her D-comm the size of a coin. When she passed the drink to him with a smile her other hand was concealing the tracker. "Give that a try." She purred.

At 7:30 PM, a cordoned, empty area suddenly has a building "pop up" into existence. Any careful observer would've noticed a convention/trade room space having disappeared in an illusion around eight hours before. The doors open to a line as garish carnival light patterns start spontaneously appearing at choice points all over the walls - the primary image being a plain mask ( ... )
