... on my plate this week. Aside from being sick yesterday (ugh, that sucked), I also decided to stay home from rehearsal. I know.... I know.... you're all in shock. I never skip rehearsal. I have gone through entire dance routines with fevers of over 100 and sang through entire musicals with bacterial bronchitis. Yesterday I felt so awful, I actually contacted the director and told him I wouldn't be there for the first rehearsal of hell week. It was that bad. So, now I feel completely and utterly out of place. Not worries about it really just.... feel a little disconnected.
I am back at work today and trying to piece together what I'd like to accomplish today. Part of the day I am going to allow myself to rest up by allowing some of my younger students to watch a video... so sue me. I'm still frickin' sore and tired. The rest of the day I have some things on my agenda that need to be accomplished, like preparing the 2nd graders for their Senior center gig on Dec. 8th.
Work and illness and Christmas show aside, I have other things to be preparing for. Lee and I are putting the final touches on the shower sometime this week and will be able to use it shortly there after. We are also hoping to move his desk into the bedroom this weekend sometime. The first piece of furniture from his place to make it over to the house. It's kind of a big deal.
We are also taking a puppy from Sharon. She's down to 6 dogs now plus this puppy. He's coming home with me this weekend. He's a 9 soon to be 10 week old toy poodle puppy. Cream colored.... he's frickin' adorable and tiny and likely to stay on the small side. Ever the large toy poddles I've seen from Sharon are only 11" tall at the shoulders. Lee and I have named him Wynton after Wynton Marsalis. He's a typical puppy... barks when he needs something, chews on lots of things, really playful.... normal puppy. Not sure how Ayesha is going to take it but from all the people I've spoken to and all the things I've read I guess it's supposedly better to introduce a puppy to an older cat. Apparently the older cats school the little puppies in how to behave around them. I am not sold on this theory but I guess we'll see. At least he's tiny enough he can't get up on the furniture like Ayesha can so she can avoid him if she wants to.
So, that's it for now. That is how this week is stacking up. Me working during the day and rehearsing to open the show this weekend and getting a puppy on Friday or Saturday. Crazy week.
