Blech
Woke up with a sinus headache and tired as hell. Decided to stay home from work. The world won't end if I get some rest.
I slept till 11am... when Lee came over for lunch. We put together something quick in the kitchen for lunch and then discussed further what we needed to do to merge our respective bars and kitchens. I have been needing new pots and pans for a while and I decided that instead of getting Lee anything for Christmas, we could simply go shopping together sometime and purchase some new pots and pans.

Sharon seems to be taking this whole Lee moving out and Lee going to visit his father in Santa Fe for Christmas thing.... well.... harder that expected. We don't understand what's going on with her. It seems like Lee moving in here is not concerning her as much as him leaving to see his other parent for Christmas is. Seriously, she tried to tell Lee last night that if we were going to do all this moving he ought to stay home for Christmas and start packing his things and going through everything and saving up his money.
I don't know what is bothering her more, that Lee is making a move to get to know his father after 13 years of nothing or that he is no longer going to be living in the same house as her. Just... ugh.
She told me last night that I need to get used to the idea and not get "territorial". Ummmmm.... I've lived with someone else before.... this is old hat. And Lee and I are together all the time already. It's just becoming a huge pain in the ass to haul our respective stuff back and forth. This is a logical progression for us.
And she's not even focused on the fact that she brought this on. She's the one who wants to downsize to a rental and purge herself of all the excess dogs and things. And I think it's a healthy move for her. But she's just not focused on her own situation... and we are. We are trying to help her. And she's meddling where she doesn't really need to. *sigh* Go figure.
Let the purging begin
So, I have begun going through things in my bedroom and trying to figure out how to get Lee's things and my things together. He has some fantastic antique furniture in his bedroom that will be coming over here... and honestly my dressers are shot. So, that is going to work fine. Now, the tricky part becomes... I have this huge computer desk that honestly, I'm not using. And the PC on it isn't getting used either. I want to get rid of the tower and keep the monitor. Dad says I should see if anyone will give me anything for the tower. It's a Dell from 2007 or so (I'd have to check) and unfortunately it has Vista on it but that just means someone else could put their preferred operating system on it. I'm planning to ask for $200 and see what I actually get. I doubt I'd get $200 for it. If I don't get a decent offer, Dad says he'll take it. Then I can get rid of the desk and we can get Lee's antique desk in here and use the monitor and a laptop. The entire bedroom is going to be rearranged to make room for him and his things as well as mine. We are keeping a small collection of snakes and getting rid of the rest as well as the hack job snake cabinet my ex made. Anyone wants any of this, please let me know. We'll find a way to make it work.
