Working hard...
... and getting things done. I have now opened a second Artfire studio for my costume shop. I only really do business out of my Etsy costume shop in October so.... I'll let all the items in that shop expire and then close out the shop entirely. I've already transfered everything over and am getting the studio set up. Going to take a while. And who knows.... maybe someone will buy some of my gently used costume pieces off me as well.... I have WAY too much and some of it was made and didn't fit.
I also am in the process of once again putting together a theme and group of songs for my students' spring program. I have decided I want to try something a little more bold and kind of dangerous to try with kids.... JAZZ. I want to put together a program that allows the kids to sing jazz songs (they have a TON in their textbooks) and use a script to narrate the program (I write scripts and have the 5th graders do the narrating) that talks and teches the audience a little about different kinds of jazz and different jazz artists (not all of them.... we'd be there for YEARS). And quite frankly.... I'm EXCITED about this idea. And I'm starting today. Just going to be a trick to find something jazzy and simple for the Kindergarten and 1st grades to learn..... hmmmmmm.....
I am also going to go shopping after school today for a curtain rod, trim, and curtains for the bathroom. I did get a faucet but I am going to wait till I talk to Dad about installing it. I think he may be willing to do that when he and Mom come down for Spring Break.... which would rock.
